How to Make a Red, White, and Blue Slushie:
Place ice in a blender. (I use my Ninja blender.) Add 1/2 cup water. Blend well. You can use more or less ice depending on how slushy you want your treat to be.
Add in 1 tablespoon strawberry extract and blend again.
Separate into two bowls, adding one drop of red food coloring to one bowl and a drop of blue to the other. Place more ice in the blender with 1/3 cup water and 1 tbsp coconut extract.
Layer each color of ice into the serving container. I just used pretty glasses, but you can get actual snow cone cups if you want to.
Questions People Ask:
This recipe is easily doubled or tripled! Just double or triple your ingredients. You can use more or less strawberry extract as desired for a stronger flavor too.
I wouldn’t suggest making these slushies in advance – they will just turn into a big cube in the freezer. They are best when they get…well…slushie!
