Sometimes you just want an easy dessert recipe for two or even dessert for one. I firmly believe that you can have anything in moderation, and these white chocolate pudding cups are the perfect example of that! The chocolate shot glass mold makes for great portion control when you just need a little bit of sweet in your day. I especially like them as a tasty treat on Instant Pot Chicken Fajita night.

Ingredients for White Chocolate Pudding Cups
- 1 cup of melted white chocolate (or you can use cookies and cream chocolate bars)
- 1 package of pudding
- 1 cup of milk
- Berries for garnish
First, I start by melting white chocolate Hershey bars in the microwave. I use a Pampered Chef Batter Bowl for this, but any microwaveable bowl will do. You can also substitute white chocolate candy melts for this, or a different type of chocolate bar.
Next, I pour the chocolate into the chocolate shot glass mold. You can use another mold too, but I really like Wilton products and this is the exact mold I used.
I freeze the mold, and after a few hours, I have white chocolate cups! It’s really that easy. The cups hold just enough for a sweet treat without all the extra calories.
Here comes the fun part…the filling! You can really use any kind of filling you want for these, but I like to use chocolate pudding because it contrasts well with the white chocolate. It also looks awesome when presented! Banana, chocolate, and even lemon pudding would be perfect in here!
Finally, garnish with berries. Now, depending on what type of filling you have, you’ll decide on the garnish. If you choose a lighter pudding, I’d go with a darker berry; like raspberry (pictured) or blueberry. For lemon pudding, I’d garnish with a slice of lemon or even some gummy lemon slices.

How Long do White Chocolate Pudding Cups Last?
The cups are best served right after they’re made, but they can be frozen to last a while. If you do freeze them, make sure that you get all of the air out of the container (think vacuum sealer) so that you don’t end up with freezer-burned chocolate. Also, just in case it needs to be said, don’t freeze a cup with pudding in it. Just the white chocolate pudding cups are freezable. When you’re ready to serve, make the pudding and garnish with the berries.
What else can I put in my white chocolate pudding cups?
Some of the ideas I’ve come up with are:
- candies
- berries
- jello
- fruit salad (with whipped cream on top of course!)
- chocolate milk
Or you can simply eat the cups by themselves! There aren’t really any rules. This is truly a versatile recipe!
Is white chocolate good for you?
YES! Surprisingly enough, there are lots of reasons to get more white chocolate into your diet. First, it doesn’t have caffeine like dark chocolate, so that’s a bonus. But did you know that white chocolate can actually lower high blood pressure? Studies actually show that the antioxidants in white chocolate can help your blood vessels to work better. Chocolate (in moderation) is actually pretty good for your cardiovascular health. The flavenoids in white chocolate actually help to keep your arteries from clogging.
